An interview with Robbie Robertson and introducing his friend Clive Bruce. Robbie and Clive are on a tour and talking about the post office, the cheese factory, buying a farm with his brother, families of fisherman and farmers, and the 1883 August Gale. The interview changes to Clive Bruce's life and he talks about the Halifax Explosion, becoming a fisherman, prices of mackerel and other fish, salting fish, his family and Christmas, starting the fisherman's union, buying gear in groups, and exotic fish.

Roy Clow tells stories of the Georgetown Exhibition, showing cattle and the brawls that broke out between Gerogetown and Lower Montague. He then goes on to speak of metal working and repairs of cast iron goods and how he arrived in the fishing business. Roy Talks about how he paid $72 for his boat, and made his own gear, along with prices pre and post WWII. Mr. Clow then tells tales of prohibition and the bootleggers of his youth, stories of rum runners avoiding the federal officers with the help of the locals, and drinking at an early age.

Leo "Sailor" MacDonald was the police chief of Springhill, Nova Scotia from 1952-1984, the longest serving chief in Canada. In this interview he discusses his home town of Springhill and some of the most notable expriences of his life. Mr. MacDonald talks mostly about his baseball career as a young man, when he was seen as one of the best ball players in Atlantic Canada. The rest of the interview focuses on his time in the RCMP and the local police; he talks about escorting the Prince of England, Maurice Richard, and the wrestler "Whipper" Billy Watson. At the end of the interview he mentions the time he played baseball against Babe Ruth.

Keith Pratt talks about many different topics detailing his life in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s in rural Prince Edward Island. In this recording he talks about several of his firsts: his first expierences with planes, tractors, phones and radios. He also talks about evolution of egg grading stations, and what kind of people ate lobster in his early years. He also touches on Christmas time, pranks, and trains. One of his final topics is when power came to his home town in the 50's and how it was knocked out less than 6 months later by an ice storm.
