Tales of traveling doctors, Sealing, farm living, pack salesmen, earthquakes, horses, ice cream and a near death experience while welding in the Atlantic Ocean. Stories take place from 1920s-1950s.

This interview is with Marguerite Stewart talking about her family, the LePage family and their general store, the Cudmore and Rattary families, her grandparents and her aunt that helped raise her and her brothers, her father selling the farm and moving them to Charlottetown and what he did for work there, Ritz apartments and former Methodist churches, singing and performing, her teacher Mr. Arthur Fletcher, her father's brain operation, singing and recieving a cup and saucer from Govenor DeBlois, the railway bridge, and riding ponies.

This interview is with Warren Leard talking about the building of an O'Leary mill, and his grandfather also building and buying a mill, cutting lumber and different kinds of wood, fire and rebuilding of the mill in 1887, moving houses and buildings around PEI, growing wheat and barley, and his father breaking his leg.

Addie Hamm of Bunbury, PEI talks about growing up in the 1920s and 1930s. She and Dutch chat about her first memories when she and her younger brother had a funeral for a dead chicken, sending care packages to the wrong soldier, and "Indians" in Bunberry. Mrs. Hamm also touches on other topics such as her family name, trains, the Hillsborough River railroad bridge, slaughtering pigs, street cleaning in Chatlottetown, jams, strawberry picking, painting the family house using seaweed, molasses, nice dogs, socials, performing plays, concerts and care packages.

James Banks interview continued with him talking about the Johnston murder, life as a child, Christmas, school, the Spanish Flu in 1918, playing the fiddle at dances, the first radio he heard and bought, his first car, stories about his father, and reasons for nicknames.

This interview is with Lee Taylor talking about his first time playing hockey and all the teams he played with and against between 1938 and 1939, getting in fights during those games, trips to away games and the bad roads and weather. He then goes on to talk about his family, St. Peters Island, and horse racing and breeding.

Addie speaks about how the Haifax Explosion rattled her front door, good times at Irish wakes, her favorite jams, quilting as a past time, Catholic and Protestant relations in Bunbury, local train stations, marine hospitals, weavers, and how she learned tailoring and dressmaking in Charlottetown. Her love of the needle and thread started early in life because of dress making for her own dolls. She ends the tape talking about some great blankets she owns.
