Abstract
This is an interview with Elsie Harris Collier (nee Bowdridge) of Murray Harbour, P.E.I. and formerly Burgeo, Newfoundland. In this interview Elsie talks about chores, quiet Sundays, mummers, Christmas, traveling, life in Newfoundland, her parents, WWII, moving to Halifax for work, moving to PEI, her wedding, fishing and hunting, food and table manners, entertainment, the Hindenburg, lightning storms, superstitions, working at a lobster cannery, and various other topics.
