Mary Ann Callaghan was born in 1900 on Prince Edward Island. She lived her early life in Vernon River and Albarry Plains, before moving to Maine she worked for many years. She returned home to Prince Edward Island to look after her two brothers, who ran a store. Mary died suddenly at her home on Montgomery Drive, Charlottetown on March 15th, 1998 at the age of 97.
